
Owl Pictures has been developing genre films since 2018, starting with BIFAN NAFF, and has participated in Cannes Market Fantastic 7, HAF, and Sitges Fanpitch. Recently, its new series project was selected for the 2025 Red Sea Film Festival Series Lab. Dreaming of becoming Korea’s A24, the company is now casting feature films—including horror, comedy, and psychological thriller—while also planning and developing an occult investigation OTT series and several other genre film projects.
KIM Sooyoung

Since her teenage years, she has lived as a cinephile, dreaming of becoming a filmmaker. While studying art in college, she began blending strong visual sensibility and emotional depth into her work. Passionate about genre films, she directed short films in dark comedy, horror, and sci-fi. Her 2017 short Superpower Girl, which she wrote and directed, was invited to over 15 festivals and has gained over 4 million views on YouTube. Her projects have found recognition internationally, being selected for Cannes, HAF, Sitges, Rotterdam, and most recently the Red Sea Series Lab.
She writes and directs all of her work, with a strong focus on genre films.

KIM Donghwan
Producer
He majored in film directing in the U.S. and began his career as a production manager on the Korea-Japan co-production K.T., later producing Beastie Boys (2008). He has produced several independent films and develops projects across various genres. Currently an adjunct screenwriting professor at CAU. He planned and developed The Nurse, selected for the 2020 HAF. His feature Reboot was selected for the 2022 BIFAN and won the Sitges Fanpitch Award, and his new series was chosen for the 2025 Red Sea Film Festival Series Lab.
